Hi everyone,

We hope you’re all safe and well! πŸ˜€

Just an update for you all on where we are at during this current COVID-19 situation, I originally anticipated that closing the driving school when Boris called lockdown for three weeks which takes us up to Monday 13th April 2020 we would be back to do your driving lessons. 😷

Going by the information the government is providing just now I’d expect lockdown to go beyond this date. 😒

Due to lockdown measures and social distancing regulations we have no other option than to continue with the suspension of all driving lessons until further notice.⛔️

Once lockdown and social distancing measures have been relaxed we will message you all again to get everyone booked back in. πŸ™Œ

Well done to everyone who has been studying for their theory test, please keep doing so, those who haven’t started, please please please make a start on it, we know and agree it’s boring and playing the Xbox and watching Corrie is far more exciting, however if you really want a driving licence we hate to break this to you, No theory test pass, No practical driving test and No driving licence! πŸ“š πŸš™

Most importantly to you all, please please please stay safe and well, we really do hope to see you all very soon. πŸ˜€

Best wishes
Pennie and the team

"Secrets Of The Driving Test" πŸ™‚

This brand new six part series offers a unique insight into the world of the driving test. Secrets Of The Driving Test was filmed over a two-year period offering unprecedented access to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) with cameras fitted inside and outside of the test car.

Recently, the driving test has had the biggest shake up in 40 years with new manoeuvres, tricky written tests and new technology being introduced. Since 2017, 4 out of 5 candidates taking the test follow a sat nav for 20 minutes to make the test feel more like driving.

Secrets Of The Driving Test allows family and friends to watch their nearest and dearest complete every manoeuvre, navigate every roundabout and box junction...in the hope they come back and deliver the magical phrase...’I’ve Passed’.

Wayne, a DVSA examiner with over 20,000 tests under his belt says: β€œAs you walk out of the door and see the candidate you have no idea of how’s they’re going to perform. I think what makes a good examiner is being relaxed, being friendly and knowing when to talk to the candidate and when to let them concentrate.”
